Happy Anniversary, CDC Ph

Today is the first year anniversary of the Concerned Doctors and Citizens of the Philippines (CDC Ph). It was launched and previously headed by former DOH Sec. Jaime Galvez Tan, but days or weeks after the launching, he left the group.

Here among the key leaders of the group, TV broadcaster Mari Kaimo, and tech entrepreneur Ann Cuisia.

There were many doctors that day, some did not speak. Below from left: Docs Edwin Bien, Butch Ong, Joel Lopez, Homer Lim, Eric Tan, and Iggy Agbayani. Sitting alone in suit and facing the docs is Doc Jaime Galvez-Tan. On the right in a huddle are some of the "citizens" components of the group.

The event was also covered by print media and radio.

Then the political harassments started -- from the police and DILG.

I am not among the original members of CDC Ph. I was recruited to the group by Doc Joel Lopez about a week after through my non-biological sister Doc Ma Judea Millora, who is a friend of Doc Joel.

I've never been a fan of lockdown even before it was officially imposed by the PH government on March 16, 202o. My early blog posts criticizing the virus hysteria,

See also some proposals -- govt shd expand more, pay for healthcare plus allowances or living wages of all affected patients. Not far away will be proposals for Covid tax. Big tax to fund big hysteria.

The lockdown should end April 30 as scheduled, no more extensions. People have the freedom and right to work and be productive, hysteria and paranoia should not prevail over economic needs and realities.

The doctors in the Flatten the Fear Philippines coalition suggested many cheap immune-boosting measures that people themselves can take without waiting for the vaccine like taking more Vitamins C and D, the use of known prophylaxis (hydroxychloroquine, zinc, etc.) vs other infectious diseases like malaria.

And two, the Concerned Doctors and Citizens of the Philippines (CDC PH, https://www.flattenthefear.ph/) which declared that “the Philippines adopt a national protocol for the prophylaxis and early treatment of COVID-19 that aims to reduce hospitalization and prevent loss of lives… lift all lockdowns to allow our people to begin to rebuild their lives.”

When I joined CDC Ph a year ago, no turning back. The group is fighting a really big fight against Big and intrusive government, Big UN, Big media, Big pharma, Big medical groups -- who want large-scale coercion among countries around the world.
